The Ontario Ministry of Education has announced all EQAO assessments have been cancelled for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.  

This includes Grade 3 and 6 assessments, Grade 9 math and the Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT).  

For students expecting to graduate in 2019-2020, the literacy requirement for graduation will be waived for students who have not yet taken the OSSLT, or who have not taken the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course.  Students who are not graduating this year will have the opportunity to write the OSSLT in 2020-2021.

Also cancelled:

• Co-op placements – Cancelled until further notice
• Dual credit courses – Cancelled until further notice
• School Within a College (SWAC) – Cancelled until further notice
• All secondary and elementary athletics, arts and/or extracurricular activities
• Community Use of Schools – All schools are closed to third party users.
• Childcare and Before and After programs in schools are closed

Community Partners

• Roots of Empathy classroom programs are cancelled until further notice
