Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we begin to move towards the end of the school year, parents/guardians and students are beginning to wonder about how and when they will be able to retrieve personal items that were left in the schools, when students departed for the last time on March 13.
The St. Clair Catholic District School Board is currently working on a procedure that will enable parents/guardians in our elementary schools; and parents/guardians and/or students in our secondary schools to safely attend the school buildings to pick up their possessions.
These procedures will be reviewed and approved by the Medical Officers of Health to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those who briefly visit the schools. There will be a further communication from your school principal regarding the date/time of the pickup and details regarding the procedures that are to be followed. The school visits will be scheduled to occur before the end of June.
However, in the meantime if there are items at the school that your child requires urgently before then, please contact your school principal to discuss whether alternate arrangements can be made.
As always, thank you for your support, your patience and your cooperation as together we work through these unusual times.
Sincerely,
Deb Crawford
Director of Education
