National Indigenous Peoples History Month is marked each June and National Indigenous Peoples Day is being celebrated on June 21. To honour and recognize these important observances please join the St. Clair Catholic District School Board for learning opportunities throughout the week of June 15 to 21. First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples Cultures and Traditions will be highlighted all week. K-12 classrooms will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning each day. On Friday, join us for a special live event in collaboration with a number of other school boards and partners from across Ontario.
Tuesday June 16th
Meet with Aalla, an urban Inuit education partner. Aalla will share about Inuit culture and traditions.

Meet with artist Moses Lunham, from Kettle and Stony Point First Nation. Moses will provide a live art lesson, in which students can participate. This is most suitable for Grade 3 and up.

Tune into this live celebration from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. – Weaving the Braid of Unity. Messages of peace, love and hope for our communities.
