St. Clair Catholic Mental Health and Wellbeing Supports Available Throughout the Summer

In some way, the COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the mental wellbeing of all of us.  For some, the effects are greater and can impact learning.  Some students and families may have experienced significant emotional difficulties during these past number of months, which have impacted their learning and wellbeing. (CAMH, 2020).

Regulated and accredited Mental Health Professionals from the Student Support and Wellbeing Team are available for continued and new virtual counselling with students throughout the summer.  In addition, consultation services are available for parents and caregivers, regarding mental health supports for their children and youth.

Please note that if students or their parents are concerned about a student’s adjustment, engagement with learning, or elevated anxiety about school and the eventual return to school, we have a team of mental health counsellors available to provide services over the summer months.

SCCDSB counsellors are also working in collaboration with Mental Health and Addiction Nurses to respond to student needs for counselling.

Students, Parents and Caregivers can either be referred by a classroom teacher or self refer. The self referral form can be completed by you and you will receive a call within 72 hours. View the form.
