Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we prepare to celebrate Christmas this year, we know it is going to be different from anything we have known in the past. In a world that these days can seem very dark, it will be more important than ever for us to let the light of Christ shine in us and around us.
We are people of faith, and we know that the true meaning of Christmas is something that no pandemic can diminish. It is the season in which we rejoice that God sent his only Son, a Baby who would be born in a lowly stable, to be the Saviour of the World! In a year when we may be separated from family and friends during the holidays, we can draw even closer to Christ.
Looking ahead to January, there is no indication at this point that the Christmas break will be extended; however, we know all too well that during a pandemic it is always prudent to be prepared. I would ask that students bring home with them any and all personal items from school; as well as any other learning materials they may need at home, if there is a switch to online learning.
Merry Christmas and, especially this year, blessings to you and your family for a New Year filled with hope for the future.
Please enjoy our Board Christmas card
Sincerely,

The Hope of Christmas
God, our dayspring and our dawn,
We turn to you when we fear the dark
And all around us weep.
We pray you greet us with your shining light
That we may spread your warm embrace
And kindle the hope of Christmas
In all whose lives remain in shadow.
Come and be our strength
O Lord, our hope and our salvation. Amen.
