St. Angela Merici Principal Juli Faubert Receives Provincial Recognition as Principal of the Year

St. Angela Merici Catholic School Principal Juli Faubert has been honoured by her provincial colleagues as the Catholic Principals’ Council of Ontario (CPCO) Principal of the Year.

“Congratulations to Juli on this tremendous achievement,” says Rick Baggio, President of CPCO – St. Clair.  “Juli is deserving of this provincial award and her colleagues here in St. Clair were unanimous in our nomination.”

“Our principals are gifted and faith-filled leaders in their school communities,” says Deb Crawford, Director of Education.  “On behalf of our entire Board, I want to extend my congratulations to Juli in achieving this provincial recognition.”

Juli began her teaching career in 2003.  As a classroom teacher, she was involved in bringing blended e-learning platforms to schools.  She also worked as a Numeracy Support Teacher and served on a committee to bring Catholic virtues into the curriculum.  She became a principal in 2010, and has led three school communities.  Juli has been a member of both the Special Education Advisory Committee and Leading Student Achievement Committee.  This past year, she was appointed principal of St. Clair Catholic’s newest elementary school – St. Angela Merici in Chatham, where she worked to bring three former Catholic school communities together in a brand new state-of-the-art facility.

“It is a privilege and an honour to be chosen by my colleagues for this award,” says Ms. Faubert.  “I am grateful to belong to a community of principals that support each other and our vision for Catholic education in our schools.  I thank them for their collaboration and their encouragement in my journey as a principal.”

The CPCO provincial association bestows the Principal of the Year Award on recipients each April.
