Georges P. Vanier Students Share Artwork and Messages of Love with CKHA

Stephanie Zondervan’s Grade 2/3 class at Georges P. Vanier Catholic School has combined artwork with messages of love to encourage healthcare workers and patients at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA).

“During our morning prayer intentions the students often ask to pray for their parents or family members who are working at, or patents in, the hospital and long-term care homes,” says Ms. Zondervan.  “The students decided that we should create art pieces and share them with the CKHA to decorate their walls.”

The moms of several students in the class are hard working nurses at the hospital who are helping to care for our community during the pandemic.  The artwork was given to them and is now being displayed in the hallway of Ambulatory Care for patients, nurses, physicians, support staff and visitors to enjoy!

“The students are filled with the response from the CKHA and the community,” says Ms. Zondervan.  “They are so proud to have been able to bring joy to the many people who are helping to keep us all safe!”
