Dress Down for Wheels Surpassed Goal and Raised Over $6,500 in Donations

A big thank you goes out to all SCCDSB staff who participated in the Dress Down for Wheels event that was held during the week of March 15th. We surpassed our initial goal, purchasing a total of 41 bikes and helmets for SCCDSB students.

Over $6,500 was raised for World Day of Physical Activity. The SCCDSB used the donations to purchase 41 bikes and helmets for students.

A total of $6,500 was raised, and we are grateful for OECTA, CUPE, CPCO, and APPSP, who donated an additional $1,500. Delivery of the bikes and helmets will start taking place TODAY…which is World Day for Physical Activity! We hope that our selected students enjoy their new wheels and get to spend some extra time outdoors today.
