SCCDSB Celebrates Catholic Education and Mental Health Week With Two Special Speaker Series

In celebration of Mental Health and Catholic Education Week and to bring our 2021 Speaker Series to an end, we will be welcoming two experts to present to staff, parents, and community partners during the week of May 3rd. The first presenter, Dr. Lauren McNamara will present on May 4th and will focus her talk on decreasing social harm by increasing connection (register here). Our second Speaker Series will take place on May 6th and feature Dr. Amanda Stanec, who will be presenting on the interconnectedness of movement, mind, and mood, and how physical activity enhances our wellbeing and role in our community (register here).

Registration is required to attend. The event links will be posted to our SCC Wellbeing Groups on Edsby, to our Staff and Parent Learning Hubs, and also to our Board’s main website under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Tab. Please visit one of these platforms on the day of the presentations to access the event links. Only those registered for the events will have access to the recordings.
