Virtual Blessing Celebration – St. Angela Merici Catholic School – Thursday, May 6 at 1:00 p.m.

A blessing ceremony for Chatham’s newest school, St. Angela Merici Catholic School, will be held tomorrow, Thursday, May 6, 2021 beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Due to the current restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be a virtual celebration.

The prayer service will be celebrated by Most Rev. Joseph Dabrowski, Auxiliary Bishop of London, who will be assisted by Father Jim Higgins, Pastor, Chatham Catholic Family of Parishes. 

In addition to the prayer service, there will be greetings from a number of dignitaries, including Minister of Education Stephen Lecce, MPP Rick Nicholls, Chatham-Kent Mayor Darrin Canniff and Sister Theresa Campeau, of the Ursuline Sisters (Chatham). Director of Education Deb Crawford, Chair of the Board John Van Heck, Superintendent of Education Laura Callaghan, Principal Juli Faubert, Vice Principal Sara Vadovic, School Advisory Council Chair Anita Hudson, along with students from the school, will also be participating in this virtual event.
