The St. Clair Catholic District School Board’s 2021-2022 school year calendar, which has received final approval from the Ministry of Education, was presented to the Board of Trustees at the June 22, 2021 Regular Board Meeting.
School boards are required to prepare and submit to the Ministry of Education an annual calendar, which must be completed in accordance with the Education Act and Regulation 304, School Year Calendar, Professional Activity Days. The regular school year is the period between September 1 and June 30.
A consultation process was undertaken involving the Lambton Kent District School Board, CSC Providence, Catholic Principals’ Council of Ontario, Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (Elementary and Secondary), Association of Professional Student Services Personnel, Canadian Union of Public Employees and the Board Advisory Parent Council. The school year for students begins on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
- Thanksgiving Day – Monday, October 11, 2021
- Christmas Break – Monday, December 20 to Friday, December 31, 2021
- Family Day – Monday, February 21, 2022
- March Break – Monday, March 14 – Friday, March 18, 2022
- Good Friday – Friday, April, 15, 2022
- Easter Monday – Monday, April 18, 2022
- Victoria Day – Monday, May 23, 2022
- Last day of classes for students – Tuesday, June 28, 2022
Professional Development Days are: September 1, 2021; September 2, 2021; October 8, 2021; November 19, 2021; January 31, 2022; June 10, 2022; and June 29, 2022.
