St. Clair Catholic’s School Within a College (SWAC) program held a commencement ceremony earlier this month for 25 graduating students.
“This was a momentous event for all of our SWAC students,” says Deb Crawford, Director of Education. “Their determination in the face of tremendous challenges is a testament to their resilience. Well done … and on behalf of the Board, I wish them every success for the future.”
“I want to say a special word of thanks to all Board staff, who support the SWAC program,” says Scott Johnson, Superintendent of Education. “Thanks also to Pastor Nate from the First Christian Reform Church, who provided a safe and inclusive learning environment in the church basement, during face-to-face learning, while in-person learning at the college was closed.”
The Board offered a final word of thanks and appreciation to St. Clair College for its continued support of this important program and for the gift of a $500 scholarship for each student, who wishes to continue their post-secondary education at St. Clair College.
