Dear Parents/Guardians,

I am writing today to inform you of a Government of Ontario initiative to provide Rapid Antigen Test kits to all students in publicly-funded schools in Ontario.

At St. Clair Catholic, we will be distributing these kits to all students next week, on Thursday, December 16, 2021.  The kits are for the use of students only, during the Christmas break.  Participation is voluntary and the kits can be used by students regardless of vaccination status.  The purpose of the voluntary testing is to help promote a safer return to the classroom after the Christmas break; however, participation is not required for students to return to school in January.

Complete directions for how to use the kits will be included with the package.  Please speak to your child about not opening the package before it arrives at home.

Again, this is an initiative of the Ontario government.  The test kits are being shipped to schools now and Boards are required to distribute them to all students before the Christmas break.
