St. Anne Catholic School in Sarnia has been honoured with recognition from the Terry Fox Foundation for achieving a spot on the foundation’s Top List of Fundraisers. In 2021, the school ranked 17th among all elementary schools in Ontario by contributing $13,260, which was raised during the annual Terry Fox Run.
“Despite the continued challenges schools face in these uncertain times, it is remarkable how nothing, not even a pandemic, can dim the determination to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients,” writes the foundation’s Ontario School Team in a letter to Scott Johnson, Director of Education.
“I want to thank our students, families and staff at St. Anne, for their continued support over many years for this worthy charity,” says Mr. Johnson. “Your donations assist the Terry Fox Foundation, as it works to give thousands of Canadians the gift of hope.”
Since 1980, the foundation has raised more than $850 million for cancer research.
