St. Anne Blenheim Students Support Canadian Food for Children-CK in Lenten Project

Throughout the six weeks of Lent, students and staff at St. Anne Catholic School in Blenheim collected a number of items to support Canadian Food for Children – Chatham-Kent.  The items collected included canned foods, baby and personal care items, school supplies and outdoor play toys.

Cindy Waddick, President of the Chatham-Kent Chapter of Canadian Food for Children visited the school to speak to Junior and Intermediate students about some of the countries which CFFC-CK supports and the living conditions of the people students are helping with their Lenten project.

“It was such an amazing and humbling learning experience for our students to hear about how their contributions are helping people living in poverty in far away lands,” says Carolyn Stepniak, Grade 5/6 Teacher at St. Anne Catholic School.

“Special thanks to all of our students and families who helped to make this project a success,” says Mrs. Stepniak.
