Students at St. Michael Catholic School in Ridgetown have collected more than 800 food items for the Ridgetown Salvation Army Foodbank.
“A big ‘thank you’ goes out to our students, staff and families for their generous support of our community, during this Lenten project,” says Kelly Van Boxtel, Principal of St. Michael Catholic School. “The overwhelming response for our food drive is a demonstration of our school’s commitment to social justice works and to helping those among us who are in need.”
The Salvation Army operates a Thrift Store and a Foodbank in Ridgetown and is committed to “helping restore hope and dignity to vulnerable and marginalized people.”
