Hot Dog Fundraiser in Aid of Ukraine Planned by St. Patrick’s Catholic High School and Knights of Columbus

Students and staff at St. Patrick’s Catholic High School will be joined by the Knights of Columbus for a bar-b-que hot dog fundraiser, to help provide relief in the Ukraine and support Ukrainian refugees, arriving in Canada.

The hot dogs are being donated by the Wyoming Foodland and the buns are courtesy of Kyle’s No Frills at Indian and London Road in Sarnia.  Donations are also being provided by the Sarnia Bluewater Roman Catholic Family of Parishes and the Catholic Women’s League of St. Michael Bright’s Grove.  Pop is being provided by the Catholic Women’s League of St. Joseph Sarnia and private individuals.

The fundraising goal is $3,000.

“Many people are coming together to assist with this fundraiser, as we work to support the humanitarian effort, both in the Ukraine and in Canada,” says Father Dan Vere, Associate Pastor of the Sarnia Bluewater Roman Catholic Family of Parishes.  “Our support is a demonstration of God’s love, as we stand with our brothers and sisters in the Ukraine who have lost so much.”

Half of the funds raised will support Caritas, an agency which provides relief to families in the Ukraine; the other half will support Christian sponsors, who are helping Ukrainian refugees relocate to private homes in Canada.

The bar-b-que hot dog fundraiser will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic High School, 1001 The Rapids Parkway, Sarnia.
