St. Patrick’s Catholic High School students with special needs recently attended an overnight camping experience at Woodeden Easter Seal Camp in London.
Student leaders helped design and lead activities that were inclusive, engaging, and unbelievably fun! All students were able to experience growth in some capacity. Whether it was challenging themselves to be away from home for the night, trying a new activity, communicating with new friends, entering a new environment and routine, or leading activities.
“This was an amazing experience for our students,” says teacher Kelly Goetz. “The memories, connections, and friendships that were made will be cherished forever!”
The trip was paid for by proceeds from the school’s Shamrock Shop and outdoor education funding.
Plans are already underway for next year’s adventure!
