‘Thank You’ to Our Friends at Tim Horton’s for 21,235 Reasons to Smile!

The Chatham-Kent Student Nutrition Program (CKSNP) has received a donation of $21,235 from the Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie campaign.

CKSNP provides school breakfasts or snacks to children and youth in schools throughout Chatham-Kent.  With the support of community partners, volunteers and educators, more than 10,000 students take part in this program with 1.5 million snacks and meals served every school year.  Through provincial funding and community donations, all children have access to the program at no cost to families.

Special thanks to the Tim Horton’s organization for its support of CKSNP!

The Smile Cookie campaign began in 1996 to raise funds for the Hamilton Children’s Hospital.  Today, more than 625 local charities and organization in communities across Canada benefit from Smile Cookie sales.

Earlier this month, members of the Captain Garnet Brackin Chapter of the IODE in Chatham donated $700 to CKSNP.  Members of the Brackin IODE are long-time supporters of student nutrition programs in Chatham-Kent.
