Flags at the Catholic Education Centre and all St. Clair Catholic schools are lowered to half-mast for the day on Monday, January 30, 2023 to honour the life of former Ontario Lt. Governor David Onley. Mr. Onley was Ontario’s 28th Lt. Governor and the first with a disability. Mr. Onley used his vice-regal position to advance the cause of persons with disabilities, including overcoming obstacles to employment and housing.
A state funeral for Mr. Onley is being held today at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, Toronto.
