Over the next several weeks, students equipped with gloves and garbage bags will be fanning out across areas surrounding St. Patrick’s Catholic High School, in an effort to help beautify the neighbourhood.
They’ll be gathering up litter that has collected throughout the winter months.
“Inspiring ethical, responsible stewardship is one of the priorities identified in the St. Clair Catholic District School Board’s strategic plan,” says Frank Torti, Principal of St. Patrick’s Catholic High School. “Operation Good Neighbour is just one of our initiatives identified by students and staff, as we all work together to care for our common home.”
“As a school, we also want to demonstrate what it is to be a ‘good neighbour,’” says Mr. Torti.
