Students in the Grade 11 foods class at Ursuline College recently showed their thoughtful support for residents of the Chatham-Kent Women’s Shelter.
They baked and decorated sugar cookies, then tagged them with uplifting and inspirational messages and delivered them to the shelter.
“The students decided to donate the cookies to the shelter as an act of kindness, in the hope that it would brighten someone’s day,” says Mary Lynne Seliga, Hospitality and Tourism teacher at UCC.
The Chatham-Kent Women’s Centre provides emergency shelter to women, with or without children.
