Welcome Back to Our Students, Families and Staff

August 30, 2023

Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff,

I want to extend a warm welcome back to our students, families and staff, as we begin another new school year!

Our Catholic schools are centres of learning excellence, where children grow in knowledge and skills, as they journey through our elementary and secondary schools, to become the young people who will be tomorrow’s leaders.  But even more than this, our schools are communities where our faith comes alive … and where our lives are enriched by the values of kindness, compassion and love.

Each school year is an opportunity to begin with a fresh start … to commit ourselves anew to the goals of academic achievement, exciting adventures in learning and meaningful connections with classmates, friends and colleagues.  To our staff, thank you for your dedicated commitment to providing inspiring learning environments, where every student’s unique gifts are recognized and celebrated.  As we continue to uphold the teachings of Christ in our Catholic schools, we will foster an atmosphere of respect, understanding and unity.

I encourage all parents and guardians to be actively engaged in the education of your children.  Along with our parishes, your partnership is invaluable, as we work together – school, home and parish – to create a strong foundation for student success.  Through this unique partnership, we can create an environment where every child thrives academically, socially and spiritually.

My prayer is that this school year will be filled with inspiration and growth for each of us.  May we embrace both the opportunities and the challenges that lie ahead, knowing that together we can build a bright future for our children, through our mission of Learning together today … transforming tomorrow!

Thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of educating and nurturing your children.  I wish you all God’s blessings for a wonderful year ahead!

Sincerely,
Scott Johnson
Director of Education
