Sacred Heart 49ers Support Local Charities

Students at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Sarnia are doing their part to support people in the community who need help.

During ‘Socktober’ 690 pairs of socks were collected for the Fresh Start Project and the Inn of the Good Shepherd; and a through a special Halloween event, 350 non-perishable food items were brought in for the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

“Our Halloween dance for canned goods has become an annual event,” says Brendan Deery, Acting Principal of Sacred Heart Catholic School.  “A special thank you to Miss Stickley’s class for counting all the non-perishable food items; and Mrs. Shortt’s class for their work in organizing the sock drive.  Way to go 49ers!”
