St. Patrick’s Catholic Secondary school Grade 10 construction tech class, under the leadership of Mr. Matthews, collaborated with the Sarnia Bluewater Family of Parishes to create and build a float for the Sarnia Santa Claus parade.  The float included a nativity chapel and band stand.  

On the float, the St. Patrick’s band and choral singers filled the air with Christmas music led by St. Patrick’s teacher Mr. Sonier.  The float went on to win first prize in the Religious Floats category!  It was an excellent example of real life experience for our students and a tremendous way to build the partnership between the school and parish.
