Students in the St. Patrick’s Catholic High School Business Leadership class recently hosted about 45 special athletes in a Bocce Ball Tournament. The regional competition included students from three area high schools.
St. Patrick’s has hosted the bocce ball tournament in partnership with Special Olympics Ontario for several years.
“It’s so lovely to see how genuinely thrilled our student volunteers are, as they work alongside these special athletes,” says Megan Woodward, the event’s staff organizer and teacher of the business leadership class.
“I know I speak for all of our student volunteers when I say the smiles on the faces of the athletes makes it all worthwhile,” says Frank Torti, Principal of St. Patrick’s Catholic High School.
