Christ the King Catholic School Embraces Earth Day with Community Cleanup

To honor Earth Day on April 22nd, students from grades 4 to 7 at Christ the King Catholic School embraced the responsibility of community stewardship. Teaming up with project leaders from the local hospital and equipped with protective gloves, students and their teachers eagerly participated in a cleanup initiative on the grounds of the Wallaceburg site of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

With determination and excitement, they collaborated to clear the area of litter, ultimately gathering several bags for proper disposal. Their dedicated efforts yielded a cleaner and more inviting environment, showcasing their commitment to environmental stewardship.

In addition to the cleanup, students participated in an eco-friendly activity by decorating seed starters. These decorated pots were then used to plant wildflower seeds, providing an opportunity for the students to nurture and grow their own green spaces at home.
