Students at St. Philip Catholic School in Petrolia showcased their artistic talents at the Petrolia and Enniskillen Agricultural Fair over the weekend, earning a first-place ribbon for their display. Themed Wish Upon A Fair, the artwork captured the creative spirit of the school community.
To celebrate their achievement, the school held a special 150th Green and White “Petrolia Proud” Day on Monday, marking the town’s milestone anniversary.
Superintendent of Education Michelle Sawa praised the initiative, stating, “Our students’ participation in local events like the agricultural fair highlights the deep connection between the school and the community. Their creativity and teamwork are inspiring.”
Tamara Johnson, Principal at St. Philip, echoed this sentiment, saying, “I am incredibly proud of our students. Their dedication to creating artwork that reflects our community’s values and history is a testament to their talent and enthusiasm.”
The St. Philip school community continues to foster strong ties with Petrolia, with student contributions playing a key role in many local celebrations.
