An update on St. Clair Catholic’s Long-Term Capital Plan, including planning for future Board capital initiatives, was presented at the Tuesday, September 17, 2024, Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees.
St. Clair Catholic’s Long-Term Capital Plan provides background information about the Board’s future capital needs and accommodation strategies, serving as a framework for decision-making regarding facilities. The report outlines specific data related to enrolment trends, facility conditions, and strategies for future student accommodation. St. Clair Catholic welcomed community partners to submit relevant information in the creation of the plan and to attend the meeting to learn the details of the plan as presented.
“Our Long-Term Capital Plan is an essential roadmap for ensuring that our school facilities remain safe, sustainable, and capable of supporting the needs of our students and staff,” says Amy Janssens, Associate Director – Corporate Services & Treasurer. “The 2024-2028 update includes significant milestones for the coming years, including new construction projects, renovations, and the continuation of community partnerships to enhance facility use.”
The Long-Term Capital Plan outlines key activities that will take place during the 2024-2025 school year, subject to funding approvals and Pupil Accommodation Review decisions by the Board of Trustees. These include completing major renovations, planning for future new schools and additions, and when necessary, addressing enrolment pressures.

The Board remains focused on long-term sustainability while addressing immediate needs such as enrolment trends, facility conditions, and accommodation strategies.
