On October 16, Christ the King Catholic School held its first Prayer Service of the school year, bringing the school community together for a moment of shared faith. Led by Mme McArthur’s grade 2 class, the Thanksgiving Prayer Service was thoughtfully organized to guide the community through a meaningful time of prayer and reflection. This uplifting service not only marked the beginning of the school year but also fostered a spirit of unity and gratitude among all attendees.
Principal Angèle expressed her joy in witnessing the school community share their faith. “It was beautiful to see our students lead the prayer service, sharing their faith with such sincerity. Mme McArthur’s class brought the entire school together, reminding us of the strength and unity that comes from gathering in prayer as a school family.”
The service was further enriched by the presence of Aaron Murphy, a local seminarian, and several parents, who joined in the event. It was a time for all to reflect on the blessings of the season and the school year ahead.
“Gathering in prayer is such an important part of who we are as a Catholic school community,” said Scott Johnson, Director of Education. “This service was a beautiful example of how faith brings us together. Seeing the students lead with such heart and unite the school in prayer was truly inspiring, and it reflects our mission of learning and growing together in faith.”
This memorable Thanksgiving Prayer Service set a positive tone for the year ahead, reinforcing the values of faith, unity, and gratitude within the Christ the King community.
