On Wednesday, October 23, St. Clair Catholic students from across Sarnia-Lambton joined thousands of their peers at Progressive Auto Sales Arena for the second annual School Day Game. The event, featuring the Sarnia Sting and the Flint Firebirds, gave Sarnia students a chance to cheer on their home team in a thrilling match that ended in a 2-1 shootout victory for the Sting.
Students proudly donned the Sting’s yellow and black, creating an energetic and spirited atmosphere that resonated throughout the arena. Their excitement was palpable as they watched the scoreless second and third periods stretch the game into overtime, eventually leading to a nail-biting shootout that kept everyone on their feet.
“The enthusiasm our students bring to events like this is truly remarkable,” said Scott Johnson, Director of Education. “It’s fantastic to see how much they enjoy the experience, and we’re thrilled to support and participate in opportunities like the School Day Game that bring our school communities together.”
