St. Clair Catholic schools and students have already started embracing the Advent season with celebrations highlighting community, faith, and generosity.
At Good Shepherd, the Advent season began with a special liturgy and wreath blessing led by the parish priest. Students also extended Kindness Week into December by recognizing those who contribute behind the scenes to the school’s success. They created heartfelt cards to thank the ladies who run the snack program, bus drivers, the school secretary, the custodian, and other support staff.
“Kindness Week was a beautiful transition into Advent,” said Liz Gibson, Principal of Good Shepherd. “Our students learned the value of showing gratitude and spreading kindness, setting a meaningful tone for the season.”
At St. Angela Merici, the Grade 1/2 class led the school in an Advent wreath blessing, uniting students and staff in prayer and reflection. This ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the season’s spiritual significance.
Through these celebrations, St. Clair Catholic schools inspire faith and connection as they journey through this sacred season of preparation and hope.
