On December 6th, flags at all St. Clair Catholic schools and buildings will be lowered to mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
This day commemorates the 14 young women tragically murdered at Polytechnique Montréal on December 6, 1989, in an act of violent misogyny. It is a time to honour their memory, reflect on the impact of gender-based violence, and recommit to creating a world free from hatred and discrimination.
Let us remember the lives lost and take action to foster a society where everyone is safe and respected.
