The holiday season was celebrated in style at the annual “Strings are the Thing!” and St. Clair Chorale Christmas Concert, held Thursday, December 19, at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Wallaceburg. The event brought together the combined orchestras and choirs from St. Elizabeth, Holy Family, and Christ the King, showcasing the talents of students from across the Wallaceburg community.
The concert offered a rich tapestry of musical performances, with separate choir and violin segments. The choir filled the church with the sounds of Christmas carols and winter ballads, while the student violinists showcased their talent, performing a selection of festive melodies. Several students also took the spotlight with solos, highlighting their individual skills and dedication. The church was filled to capacity, with parents and community members standing along the perimeter, eager to experience the magic of the evening from every angle.
“It’s wonderful to see the hard work and dedication of our students come to fruition in such a beautiful performance,” said Jen Trinca, music teacher and Concertmaster. “They’ve put in so much effort all year, and it’s so rewarding to see that hard work reflected in tonight’s performance.”
The concert was a heartwarming way to ring in the holiday season, bringing together students, families, and community members in celebration of music and the Christmas spirit.
