The St. Clair Catholic community has once again demonstrated the true spirit of giving through its 4th Annual Women’s Shelter Christmas Fundraiser. This year’s initiative raised an astounding $20,000, setting a new record for the system-wide effort and ensuring a brighter holiday season for women and children in need.
The annual campaign, spearheaded by OECTA St. Clair Secondary and OECTA St. Clair Elementary Units, saw staff and volunteers work tirelessly in partnership with the local Women’s Shelters to fulfill Christmas gift wishes for families. “The generosity of our community never ceases to amaze me. This fundraiser is a testament to the compassion and kindness that exists across our schools,” said Scott Johnson, Director of Education. “Not only does this initiative bring joy to those we support, but it also uplifts everyone involved—creating a profound sense of unity and purpose within our workplaces.”
The success of this year’s campaign was due in large part to the collaboration and dedication of many, including Wayne and Cathy Bechard, Jim and Anita O’Brien, and contributions from CPCO, APSSP, and OECTA’s Elementary and Secondary Units. These efforts culminated in a meaningful drop-off day that truly captured the essence of the holiday season.
This remarkable achievement ensured that many local families experienced the warmth and joy of Christmas, and the unwavering support and generosity of the St. Clair Catholic community made a lasting impact that resonated far beyond the holiday season.
