Stitching for a Cause: St. Elizabeth’s Sewing Club Supports Local Seniors

St. Elizabeth’s Sewing Club made a heartfelt contribution to the community by handcrafting 50 gift bags for the Elder Tree initiative. Led by teacher Clare Quinlan, the students worked tirelessly over the past month, using their recesses to create the bags. On Friday, December 13, the club delivered the gift bags to the Black Goose in Wallaceburg, supporting local seniors during the holiday season.

Principal Mike Giroux shared his pride in the students’ efforts: “I couldn’t be more proud of our students. They not only learned a new skill but also used it to make a real difference in the community. Their hard work and dedication to this project were truly heartwarming, and they should be so proud of what they’ve accomplished.”

The Sewing Club’s donation is a powerful reminder of how students can use their skills to make a real difference in their community. The 10 girls involved worked with great dedication, and their heartfelt contributions were deeply appreciated.
