The holiday spirit was alive and well at St. Teresa of Calcutta on December 18 during the spectacular Winter Wonderland event. Families and friends came together for an unforgettable evening filled with joy, laughter, and holiday cheer.
Each corner of the school became a hub of excitement, with classrooms offering cookie decorating, reindeer antler crafts, face painting, and festive hair tinsel. The gymnasium was a hive of activity with reindeer games like ring toss onto antlers, decorating life-sized cardboard gingerbread houses, and energetic sports. Carolers filled the air with festive tunes, while treats served by St. Teresa’s PALS leaders—including popcorn, hot chocolate, and candy—added extra sweetness to the night. The highlight of the evening was a special visit from Santa Claus, who took photos and listened to children’s Christmas wishes.
Principal Sara Vadovic remarked, “This event brought so much joy to our St. Teresa community. It was heartwarming to see families connect, laugh, and create lasting memories. Events like this showcase the true spirit of our school, and it made celebrating our first Christmas as a school community truly special.”
In addition to the evening’s festivities, families contributed to a foyer display by sharing their reflections on what brings them joy. This collaborative display became a heartwarming centerpiece of the school’s holiday celebrations. Two days later, on December 20, the school hosted a hot chocolate and brownie social to celebrate wellness and recognize the efforts of its PALS student leaders.
Scott Johnson, Director of Education, shared his thoughts on the event, saying, “It’s beautiful to see our school families and community come together for festive fun. Moments like these remind us of the importance of connection and celebration, especially during the holiday season.”
