Excitement is building across the St. Clair Catholic District School Board as families prepare for the annual KinderSTARt events. Designed to introduce children to the joys of kindergarten, this initiative offers a warm welcome to families and serves as a first step in their school journey.

KinderSTARt, set to run from January 14 to January 23, 2025, invites families to visit participating schools, meet educators, and engage with community partners who provide valuable resources. Each event is thoughtfully planned to ease the transition into kindergarten, ensuring children and families feel confident and excited for this milestone.

“KinderSTARt is an exciting way for children to meet their teachers, explore their school, and embrace this new adventure,” said Scott Johnson, Director of Education. “We can’t wait to welcome our future kindergarten students and share in their excitement.”

Families attending KinderSTARt can look forward to exploring classrooms, meeting school staff, and receiving a special KinderSTARt swag bag (while supplies last). Community partners will also be on-site, offering helpful resources to support a smooth start to school life.

KinderSTARt events are open to all families, whether they have already registered for kindergarten or are just beginning the process of thinking about school. Spaces are limited, and signing up in advance is encouraged to secure a spot and receive a swag bag.
