For Marie Clark, inclusion isn’t just a philosophy—it’s the heart of everything she does. This April, she will be honoured as St. Clair Catholic’s Champion of Inclusion at the Coaching to Inclusion conference, recognizing her unwavering commitment to making every student feel valued, supported, and seen.

“It is hard to put into words how honoured I am to receive this award,” said Marie, a Grade 5/6 teacher at St. Angela Merici Catholic School. “My philosophy has always been that every child should feel loved, valued, seen, cherished, and included, and I can’t think of a more amazing reason to be recognized.”
Coaching to Inclusion brings together educators from across southwestern Ontario to celebrate and advance inclusive education. The Champion of Inclusion Award highlights educators who go beyond advocacy—they live and breathe inclusion in their daily work.

Superintendent of Education Lisa Demers shared high praise for Marie’s impact. “Marie doesn’t just create an inclusive classroom—she inspires an entire school community. Her passion, leadership, and mentorship have made a lasting difference for students and staff alike.”
Marie will receive the award on April 10 at the Coaching to Inclusion conference at the Stoneridge Inn & Conference Centre, where she will be recognized alongside other champions of inclusion from school boards across the region.
