St. Anne Celebrates International Women’s Day with Lambton College

Students at St. Anne, Sarnia marked International Women’s Day with a celebration of women’s history, leadership, and future possibilities. In collaboration with Lambton College, students in grades six through eight explored the impact of women in athletics, technology, and culture through interactive stations led by college students from various faculties. The event encouraged confidence, ambition, and a recognition of the contributions of women past, present, and future.

“Celebrating this day as a school community reinforces the importance of recognizing women’s achievements while empowering the next generation,” says Vice Principal Mandy Guenette. “It was inspiring to see the young women of St. Anne supporting and uplifting one another as they embraced new opportunities and envisioned their futures.”

By learning from role models and engaging in meaningful discussions, students gained a deeper appreciation for the progress women have made and the possibilities that lie ahead.
