Sacred Heart Welcomes Loved Ones for Family Day Fun

Sacred Heart Catholic School in Port Lambton wrapped up Family Day week with a heartwarming celebration, as junior and senior kindergarten students welcomed their families into the gymnasium for an afternoon of connection and fun.

The event began with a special performance, as the young students took the stage to sing family-themed songs and showcase routines they had been preparing. Following the performance, children and their loved ones explored a variety of activity stations together—colouring, portrait painting, reading, and even enjoying some treats.

“The bonds we build as a school family are so important,” said Principal Carrie Webb Coene. “It’s a joy to see our students share their learning space with their loved ones, creating memories and strengthening our sense of community.”

Staff joined in on the activities, reinforcing the message that at Sacred Heart, being a family extends beyond the classroom. The event was a fitting tribute to the spirit of Family Day—celebrating love, connection, and the joy of learning together.
