Over the past weekend, flags at St. Clair Catholic schools and offices remained lowered in honour of the funeral of His Holiness, Pope Francis, held on Saturday, April 26.
On Monday, April 28, flags will continue to fly at half-staff as we observe the National Day of Mourning — a time to honour and remember those who have lost their lives, been injured, or become ill due to workplace tragedies.
We remember the thousands of workers impacted by occupational injury or illness, and we keep in our prayers the families, friends, and colleagues whose lives have been forever changed. As we reflect on these losses, we also renew our commitment to fostering safe and healthy work environments for all.
Flags will return to full-staff on Tuesday morning.
