Students at St. Anne Catholic School in Sarnia recently rolled up their sleeves—and lined up their cereal—as part of the Cereal Dom-INN-Os challenge supporting the Inn of the Good Shepherd.
Led by the school’s Social Justice and Wellbeing Team, the initiative brought the whole school community together to collect cereal boxes for families in need. In total, students gathered an impressive 212 boxes, which were then used to create a massive spiral-shaped domino course through the school. With cheers from classmates, the boxes toppled one after another in a satisfying cascade of colour and kindness.

“It was incredible to see our students so energized about giving back,” said Mandy Guenette, Vice Principal at St. Anne. “They were excited, they were creative, and most importantly, they understood why this matters. It’s moments like this that show how small acts of kindness can create real change—and we had a lot of fun doing it together.”
The annual Cereal Dom-INN-Os challenge, now in its fourth year, helps stock the shelves of the Inn of the Good Shepherd’s food bank—where cereal remains one of the most needed items. At St. Anne’s, the event was not only about donations, but about sparking conversations, inspiring empathy, and creating joyful moments of giving.
