Families of all ages filled the gym at Holy Family Catholic School on the evening of May 1 for a high-energy night of Bingo—and chocolate! From grandparents and parents to current students and alumni, the gym was alive with laughter and friendly competition as generations came together to enjoy a sweet night out.

With more than six varieties of chocolate bars up for grabs, the stakes were deliciously high. Many returning families hoped to top their haul from last year, while first-time guests quickly found themselves swept up in the excitement. Creative Bingo shapes kept players guessing, making each round more entertaining than the last.
“It’s always such a joy to welcome our families and community members into the school,” said Jenny Lips, school secretary. “Nights like this really reflect what Holy Family is all about—connection, fun, and belonging.”
Adding to the festive spirit, Parent Council members served up pizza and snacks while mingling with guests and joining in the games. The event offered a simple yet meaningful opportunity for families, staff, and even parish friends to share in the fun together.

“Seeing so many people from different parts of our school community—parents, staff, students, and even a few alumni—coming together just reminds us how strong those connections really are,” said Principal Colleen Cogghe. “It’s these shared moments that make Holy Family feel like home.”
It was a memorable evening of laughter, chocolate, and community spirit—and there’s already a buzz about next year’s Bingo night.
