Nominations Now Open for the Prime Minister’s Awards Recognizing Teachers and Early Childhood Educators

Each year in Canada, the Prime Minister’s Awards recognize teachers and early childhood educators for their achievements in education.  St. Clair Catholic is blessed in abundance with innovative, inspiring and caring staff, who are worthy of this national recognition.

There are three award categories:

  • Teaching Excellence – recognizes elementary and secondary school teachers in all disciplines for their remarkable achievements in education and their commitment to preparing youth for a digital and innovation-based economy;
  • Teaching Excellence in STEM – celebrates outstanding science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) teachers; and
  • Early Childhood Education – honours early childhood educators for their leadership, exemplary early childhood education practicers and commitment to helping build the foundation children need to make the best possible start in life.

Nominations are accepted from any person or group with direct knowledge of the nominee’s contribution, including students, parents of students, colleagues, school administration or supervisors and community leaders.
