Excitement is building in our Catholic school communities as the St. Clair Catholic District School Board prepares to welcome our youngest learners through KinderSTARt—a fun, engaging introduction to kindergarten and school life.

Running from January 13 to January 28, 2026, KinderSTARt invites families to visit local schools, meet caring educators, and connect with community partners who support children and families as they begin this important journey.  Each event is thoughtfully designed to create a welcoming environment where children can explore their new surroundings and build confidence as they prepare for kindergarten.

“KinderSTARt helps children and families feel comfortable and connected as they prepare for kindergarten,” said Lisa Demers, Director of Education.  “It’s an exciting first step that supports a smooth, positive transition into school.”

Families attending KinderSTARt can enjoy fun, hands-on activities, explore a kindergarten classroom, meet school staff, and experience the strong sense of community found in our schools.  Children will also receive a special KinderSTARt t-shirt and swag bag (while supplies last).

KinderSTARt events are open to all families, whether you have already registered for kindergarten or are just beginning to explore school options.  Advance registration is encouraged to secure a spot and receive a swag bag and t-shirt.
